Students @ GEMINI

Visit us from abroad for a Bachelor or a Masters project

We always enjoy having visitors from abroad in our lab. We can host visits of up to 6 months, for any project that aligns with the group's ongoing research. Projects typically involve design, prototyping and evaluation of ideas at the cutting edge of HCI, with the goal of publication in a workshop or conference in the field.

If you are interested, reach out to any of us in the team. Contact us early as research visits are subject to a formal appointment process in the University.

Summer internship for undergraduate students

Every year, we offer one or two places for a local UG student to do an internship with us over the summer. The summer internship is aimed at students who have a strong interest in the research side of HCI, who are curious about how things work, and who ask lots of questions. During an internship you will work with us in the lab on a day to day basis and develop your skills on tasks tailored your abilities and aligned with our research. A summer internship can also be a great basis for a Third Year Project, or application to PG studies.

Selection process: we allocate places based on a statement of your research interest (max. 1 page). Use this web site to get an overview of our research and browse through publications on anything that catches your specific interest. Your statement should give us a good idea of what sparks your curiosity and what would you like to learn more about.

Apply before Tuesday 12 March, 12.00noon, by email to h.gellersen@lancaster.ac.uk

Help us out! Sign up for our experiments!

As part of our research at GEMINI, we are running a host of studies, testing new technologies and prototypes about AR, VR, gaze, and eye movement.

We are always looking for study participants (we reimburse you for your time). If you are interested in supporting us and you are able to visit us at the Lancaster University campus, feel free to sign up below. We will send you an invitation for upcoming experiments:
